Shashikant is Vice President – Offshore Engineering at WSP USA Inc. WSP USA Ranks #1 in ENR’s Annual Ranking of the Top 225 International Design Firms. In this current role, Shashikant is responsible to lead WSP’s multi-discipline engineering and project management team in delivering value added consulting and engineering services in the area of offshore wind.
Prior to joining WSP, Shashikant worked at DNV, a global engineering and risk management services organization, for 14+ years. He has ~20 years of hands on experience in research, detailed engineering, fabrication, commissioning, offshore hook-up and integration of offshore facilities located in the US, East Canada, Brazil, Norway and Indonesia.
Shashikant is uniquely qualified as a multi-discipline engineer with Professional Engineer (PE) qualification in 5 engineering majors: Civil, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Marine and Fire Protection Engineering. He graduated with Masters degree in Offshore Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2001 and attended PhD program in Civil/Structural Engineering at Texas A&M University from 2003 to 2005.
